Terms

Last updated 2026-05-13.

Signbrief ("we", "us") provides tools for Notary Signing Agents. By using the service you agree to these terms.

Beta status

Signbrief is currently in private beta. The product may have bugs, may be unavailable for stretches, and may change shape week to week. Don't rely on it as your only system of record. Keep copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

What you do with the tool is yours

We don't give legal advice, tax advice, or notarial guidance. The AI surfaces what it sees in the PDF you upload. You are responsible for verifying every field, every instruction, and every action taken at a signing. The AI is a second pair of eyes, not a replacement for yours.

Acceptable use

  • Don't use the service for anything illegal.
  • Don't try to extract credentials, attack the platform, or abuse the API rate limits.
  • Don't upload PDFs you don't have the right to process.
  • One account per person during beta.

Cancellation

Beta accounts can be cancelled at any time by emailing hello@signbrief.com. Paid plans (once they exist) cancel via the Stripe portal in-app; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No clawback fees.

Refunds

Refund requests for the current month's subscription are honored without question, within 30 days of the charge. Anything beyond that we'll handle case-by-case — fairly.

Liability

We provide the service "as is". Our liability for any claim arising from your use of Signbrief is capped at the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We're honest about this because the alternative is lawyer-noise that protects nobody.

Changes

These terms may change. We'll surface meaningful changes in the app and via email before they take effect.
